Map of population distribution of South Korea

Via Reddit, here's one of those neat "every color has 1/4 the population" maps, this time for Korea:

I'm actually pretty surprised by two things here:

  1. That they had to include Incheon in the Seoul metro area to boost the capital area up to 1/4. I figured a quarter would be in the city of Seoul and the immediate surrounding Gyeonggi-Do area easily. 
  2. That Jeju had to be combined with that huge swath Jeollado, Gangwondo, and Chunchungdo to reach 1/4. I guess Jeju is even sparser than I thought.
