The official YouTube blog posted a list of the most popular channels for the first half of 2018.
They discuss in depth about the rise in the popularity of official K-pop channels on YouTube. But I'm sure all the usual K-pop news sites will talk about that. Of note was that they included a top-20 list with all the K-pop and kids' stuff removed.
But my personal favorite has to be this cat train from #16 "Cream Heroes" (FF to the 3 min mark):

Not surprising, a lot of the big name TV networks make it into the list (#3, 5, 9, 10, 14). Looks like a good number of wacky creators, 먹방s, makeup tutorials, and some singers. I don't watch much Korean YouTube so I don't know what all these others are (sorry), so click over and have fun exploring. There must be a reason they're popular.
That #1 spot is a girl who does cover songs. I remember her song trending a little while back. She has a certain highly artificial make-up style that seems very common among the college girls these days. Not that I spend my time ogling college girls.
