Quick Tip: via a post on Reddit, if you post the phrase 너무 더워 ("too hot") in a KakaoTalk chatroom, the chatroom background will temporarily change to a cute animation of the Kakao Friends character "Jordy" (죠르디) stuck in a hot room with a only a fan blowing.
Jordy (sometimes Jordi in English) is a dinosaur whose backstory is that he/she was frozen in a glacier during dinosaur times but (thanks to global warming?) the glacier has now melted leaving Jordy stuck in our modern world.
But Jordy strives to survive in our world by, for example, getting part time jobs:

Jordy is probably the most popular character among the 니니즈 (Niniz) gang of Kakao Friends. It doesn't hurt that this lovable dino helps sell plenty of merchandise too.
