Links for June - August 2023

It's been 3 months since the last list of interesting Korea society and tech related links. You've made it through an extremely hot summer and one of the most oppressive and longest rainy seasons I can remember. I really don't remember rain like this last year or so many tropical nights. I put my aircon through its paces these past few months and I hope you did too

Now that the weather is easing off a bit, sit down with a nice 아아 (iced Americano, 아이스 아메리카노) because you are a real 얼죽아 person ("Even if I freeze to death, I'll still have iced Americanos (even in winter)" 얼어 죽어도 아이스 아메리카노) and relax and enjoy some light reading. Plenty of links to satisfy you.

Links from June - August 2023

This quarter's links are in alphabetical order. I wanted to seperate out the Mastodon links and was too lazy to figure out how to move those and then go back to the original order.

I think I'm going to try to leave Twitter/Mastodon posts to just links to other sites from now on. I realized that I often make microblog posts on those services and only mirror the link here. But with Musk removing all media from tweets from pre-2014 whether on purpose or by accident, I realized that I'm not in control of those and they could be wiped out easily. So I may be making more "light" posts on this blog. Shorter posts that mostly just link to other stuff I found interesting or just include one image and one or two paragraphs of text. Why should a blog just be long stuff?

Enough chatter. On with the links.

Links I posted to Twitter/Mastodon

Apologizes for the way these links turned out. Hopefully you can get the gist without having to bother clicking through to the Mastodon post.
