Quick tip: the Korea Herald has changed their RSS feed structure. [UPDATE Feb 2025: Again!]
Top: New feed listing page for Korea Herald. Bottom: Error page linked from current feeds |
I was noticing that although my usual feeds for Korea Herald were still updating with correct headlines and current updates, the links back to the original articles were failing. I kept getting the "page not found" message as shown above.
UPDATE FEB 2025:
All Storeis [somehow still sic]NationalBusinessLife & CultureSportsWorldOpinionK-pop
Just for your reference, I'll leave the old content of this post below. Be aware these do not work; use the above feeds.
Turns out they recently revised the URL structure for their RSS feeds: Korea Herald RSS feeds [dead link]
Here's a copy of the new OLD list:
All Storeis [sic, whoops!]
https://www.koreaherald.com/common/rss_xml.php?ct=101
National

K-pop
These seem to be replacing the [even older] structure, which for reference, included links like these:
All Stories

Culture

These are still serving updated story items, but the links are incorrect. Actually, they only need to have their subdomain updated. Stories with links like https://view.koreaherald.com/kh/view.php?ud=20231113000736 just need "view" to change to "news" to become the working link https://news.koreaherald.com/kh/view.php?ud=20231113000736
Hopefully if you follow them, this post will save you some headache.
Major 감사s to the Korea Herald for continuing to offer RSS feeds, and even categorized feeds too. Especially in this day and age, it's great to be able to follow news sources without the middleman of SNS and the dreaded algorithms.
