KEB Hana Bank have opened a branch in downtown Seoul that caters exclusively to foreigner customers. I missed this news in Korean but caught it on KEB's Facebook page. Just passing on the info.

We've opened a special new branch dedicated to foreigners' needs! And it's right in the heart of Myeongdong -- Seoul's bustling central shopping district -- making it easy to hop in and out when you're downtown.

The 'Easy-One Center' at KEB Hana Plaza is built to serve the growing number of foreign customers in Korea from all backgrounds. Banking will be smooth and quick because it's for foreign customers only!

Here are 5 good reasons to stop by:

-- Centrally located in Myeongdong; near shops, restaurants, subways
-- Staff speaks English; -- Shorter or no wait times-- Information and forms in many Asian languages
-- Next to a very helpful official Tourism Info. Center, whose staff speak English, Chinese, and Japanese.

How to reach: Use exit 5 of Euljiro 1-ga station line 2, and walk 3 minutes to Hana Financial Group Headquarters at 66 Euljiro. The Easy One Center is behind the building. Also easy to reach from Myeongdong station line 4, exit 5 or 6 (10 minutes' walk).

Hours: Same as regular branches (9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday)

I had heard that KEB maintained some kind of foreigner friendly branches, but it looks like there are quite a few branches/services available for waygooks these days from a variety of banks. My banking needs are pretty simple so I hardly ever step into a real life branch. Good to know though.
