IBK bank to use Naver Papago tablets at tellers' desks

IBK, the Industrial Bank of Korea (기업은행) has partnered with Naver's translation service Papago to help foreign customers do their banking at IBK branches.

You can see a promotional video here where they show it in use at the Itaewon branch, complete with some English interviews with foreign customers.

Supposedly the bank staff will have a special phrasebook of common banking questions typical of the custom phrasebooks we've seen before in the Papago app such as here and here.

Plus they have tablet computers set up at the teller desks where you can dictate what you need. Take a look at this screenshot from the video, where you can see a foreign woman customer talking out loud and while she does so the tablet is auto-translating her request to 나는 계좌를 개설하고 싶다.

She wants to open an account, but I hope they turn on the "honorifics" button.

Kind of gimmicky and not a great replacement for actual English speaking staff, but if you're doing just basic banking it might help.
