My coworker's son is an absolute goldmine of Korean memes and humor. I'm pretty sure he's an Ilbe bug, but he's a good kid. He's in that awkward teen stage but now and then he will feel brave enough to share something with me if he thinks I will find it funny. Luckily I think most things are funny. So this afternoon he showed me something pretty funny.
He asked if I knew the meaning of this "English" word:
ILLHVHL
I didn't. So he told me to write it down and look at it upside down. So I did.
Ah ha. Bingo. Got it.
When you turn it upside down, the letters basically write out the Korean letters 개새끼, the Korean word for "son of a bitch."
Not bad, kid. Not bad at all.
