Actor and all around handsome guy Chris Pine sat down to record a special Korea-focused promotional blurb for his new movie "Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves" which came out in Korea on March 29th.
Naver NOW included it prominently on the main Naver homepage. NOW is an entertainment and promotional video content platform that runs several simultaneous "channels" of content, often featuring live hosts but in this case an hour-long featurette about the movie on replay.

His promo started with "Hello Korea!" so it was clear this bit was recorded special for Korean audiences. Although most of what he goes on to say is general movie promo talk, there was a slightly amusing bit at the end where he mentions that you can watch the world's sneak-peak only on "NAVER NOW."
Hello Korea! |
But as usual with Korean names, it sounds like nobody gave him some hints of how to phonetically say this company's name. He gives it the short A when it should be the long A. "Nah-ver" Now. This is the opposite basic mistake that non-Korean-knowing foreigners made with "Gayngnam" Style. English As really are sort of goofy.
나버나우? |
Ultimately, who cares? It's just interesting and neat that they got him to do a promo for a Naver service at all.

And enjoy the movie.
