Logo doodles for Solar / Lunar New Year 2024: Year of the Blue Dragon
Based on the Chinese zodiac, this year's animal is dragon, and of the blue type (each animal has a kind of color too so every ~60 years you end up restarting the cycle). So all these logos feature a blue dragon in some way.
I saved most of these real quick to my downloads folder and forgot about them. Since today is the first full moon of the new year, here's a chance to pause, catch up, and make a big logo dump. Some of these were from solar new year, most from lunar new year. Just enjoy them.

Logo doodles for Jungwol Daeboreum
Today is 정월대보름, the first full moon of the Lunar New Year. You might know this holiday as a sort of Korean version of Halloween, where people eats nuts to make a cracking sound that wards off back luck, and may have seen farmers swinging burning cans on ropes.
New to me was this idea of 더위팔기, thus the playful back and forth of "selling" heat illustrated in the Naver logo doodle.
Apparently this is a cute kind of gotcha game where you call out to your friend "Hey Sam..." and if he goes "yeah?" you shout "BUY MY HEAT!!!" and now he has to buy your heat and be hot in the approaching summer while you will stay cool. But if your friend is savvy and you say "Hey Sam..." then he can quickly interject "BUY MY HEAT" and now the first guy gets the heat.
Sounds like a Korean G-rated version of "Ass sphincter says what?"
