Korean portal site logo doodles for Seollal 설날 Lunar New Year 2025 and 정월대보름

Since I always think these are cute here's another post to archive some of the cute logo doodles put up on some Korean websites to celebrate this year (2025)'s Lunar New Year holiday aka Seollal aka 설날 (Update: also adding the doodles for 정월대보름 to this post).

Since it's now the year of the Snake, and a blue snake to be specific this year, you'll see a lot of blue snake imagery in these doodles. And a lot of really generic happy new year messages.

These Naver ones were drawn by "Slowmind" aka Kang Da-in (강다인). Check her out here:

Google had this snake game for the year of the Blue Snake

Unrelated but my coworker's kid was showing me his Animal Crossing (aka "Animal Forrest", 동물의숲 in Korean) game on his Switch. I guess you can buy decorative items for your house or whatever and some are seasonal so he showed off that they have a Yutnori game set for Lunar New Year as a special Korean item though it looks like anybody can buy it:

Surprisingly we got some snow during the holiday this year. I saw kids out building snow men and other kids knocking them down. Also saw a lot of workers out doing food deliveries and felt pretty bad for them. It's a hard knock life out there.

Happy new year folks.

UPDATE 2025-02-12:

Here are the logo doodles for 정월대보름 too, aka the official first full moon of the Lunar new year.
