Naver Plus, the monthly membership club from Naver that originally just gave basically just discounts on Naver Shopping and expedited shipping, continues to add new perks for members. They clearly want to take on the likes of Coupang's Wow membership program. And they're doing a great job, already offering Netflix (at an overall cheaper price than an actual current Netflix subscription!) and X-Box Game Pass.

Naver Plus Baby Voucher perk
Here's a new perk that you married folks with new babies or buns in the oven might be interested in. Your standard Naver Plus membership now includes a "Baby Voucher" perk (네이버플러스 멤버십 베이비 바우처) where, if you include the DOB of the baby, you are entitled to some decent discounts on baby clothes, baby food, etc when purchased on Naver Shopping through some specific brands of partners.

Benefits
Here are some of the key benefits:
- 50% "Welcome Discount" on certain brands, so when you spend at least 20k won at each storefront, get a 10k won discount on the first purchase with that brand.
- 10% Discount on kids fashion items each month 3x per month per brand.
- 10% Rewards when purchasing maternity and children's products from all the participating brands
Personally, I think that 3rd benefit has the most potential for the best savings.

You or your Korean spouse might already have a Naver Plus membership anyway, so if you do and you are in the market for some baby stuff, might as well save some money and take advantage of this.
Of course if you ask me, I think you're better off buying a bunch of used baby stuff on Daangun Market. There is plenty, which is both good but also a little bit sad. Seeing that stuff always make me think of that famous 1 line Hemingway story the high school teacher tried to impress us with. Guess it worked.
Anyway let's hope Naver continues to add nice benefits like this as they keep trying to leech customers from Coupang. Of course in my experience, all this war really means is that families are paying for 2 premium memberships now. No wonder people think it's expensive to have a kid.
