Just a quick tip: Toss Bank, a popular internet-only bank in Korea with an app that has decent multilingual support, has been running a series of blog posts where they discuss many topics in English related to living and banking in Korea. No surprise that, coincidentally, using Toss is presented as the solution for all your needs. So while it's definitely promoting its own services, there are some helpful translations and suggestions buried among these if you're interested.
Here's what they've posted so far:
- Toss Launches ‘Foreigner Bridge Crew’ Marketing Competition
- A Guide to Using a Finance App Without Knowing Korean
- How to Pay Bills in Korea When You Can't Read Korean
- Essential Apps for Living in Korea: A Step-by-Step Guide
- A Practical Guide to Filing Taxes in Korea
- Health Insurance in Korea: Enrollment, Premiums and Hospital Refunds

Nothing groundbreaking here but just figured some might be interested. I've got a Toss account but rarely use it out of pure laziness. I've been with Hana bank since back in their KEB days and that's still my main bank. When you are working with constantly disappointing amounts of bank balance, it doesn't really matter. I barely touch my Hana Money. So I'm probably not the best source of financial advice. Just passing this on since it's in English.
