The longest apartment name in Korea

Korea is no stranger to sticking weird, lengthy, exotic sounding names onto their high rise apartment buildings. Anything to sound foreign, fancy, and expensive.

But what is the most outrageous, i.e. the longest of the long names?

That honor goes to a new complex in Naju City, Jeollanam-do of all places, where you'll find the longest apartment name of all Korea:

 광주전남공동혁신도시 빛가람 대방엘리움 로얄카운티 1차

... and presumably the 2차 as well.

If you thought the Korean name itself was a mouthful, the official English name it goes by isn't something to spit out quick either:

Gwangju Jeonnam Innovation City Daebang ELIUM Royal County

There are some other extremely long names out there too, but surprisingly, Seoul's longest isn't that big. That honor goes to Seocho-gu's very own:

디에이치퍼스티어아이파크

Somehow despite being shorter, I find this one harder to read. DHC Purse Tiara Park? Not even close.

THE H FIRSTIER IPARK

If you can tell me what language that is, you win the day because it sure doesn't look like English to me.

Meanwhile, I'm looking out my window at the 로얄 파크뷰 아파트 which is neither royal, nor has a view of any park, nor is even an apartment complex in the usual sense. It's just a villa that overlooks an expressway interchange. But boy does its name look good on paper!
